Back to the real world

So…we have returned from the trek to Florida and visiting family.  It was a beautiful two weeks.  The weather was awesome.  No rain and very mild temperatures.  My sister ended up coming to Mom’s from Jacksonville for Easter, so I got to spend the better part of the two weeks hanging out with her.  It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to do that, and it was really nice.

My Grandmother and her husband decided to put an offer on a house the second day we were there.  They currently live in a mobile home and between the hurricanes the past two years and Ted being confined to a wheel chair, it hasn’t been easy living.  The house will be nice, it’s all wide open rooms, a lot of tile, and clear easy shots between the rooms for him to maneuver his chair.  The only complication is they need to install a handicapped shower.

I wish we were there longer, my grandmother doesn’t drive and its hard for her to take care of things that need to be done.  We helped as much as we could the time we were there.

We spent Easter at my brother’s.  They recently bought several acres and have their 3 horses at home now (Plus goats, rabbits and dogs).   Katelynn was able to ride with her cousin for the first time, even though they’ve both riding — Jenna for several years.

The last four days of our trip was spent at my sister’s in Jacksonville.  The guys went out in her husband’s boat fishing one day and we spent another day at the beach.  It was of the only days that I actually got to just lie out and soak up the sun.  I had planned to spend most of the trip doing so, but it didn’t work out that way.  It’s okay, I still got nice color.

Pictures should be up at  flickr soon.

Life…

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been trying to wrap things up before we leave for vacation next week. I’m long overdue for this break and can’t wait to get in the sun to just relax for ten days.

Last Friday I had the interview of 30 Seconds to Mars and the concert. The Interview should be up on Monday on Blogcritics.org

A little behind the scenes stuff. The interview actually took place on their tour bus. That was pretty cool, and as Cathy told me … gee, it only took you 25 years to finally make it on a bands tour bus. Okay – that sounds a lot worse then her intent, but you get the picture.

The concert was awesome.  I had a lot of fun.
