All That's Unclaimed: Sunnydale Days Book 2

Really liked learning more about Anna, She was a flat character in "Unspoken" nice to know her story and see her come into her own with Ben! Can not wait to continue the Series and see who we learn about next!!

The second in the Sunnydale series is an enjoyable, light read featuring a budding romance between Ben and Anna. Constance Phillips gives very compassionate portrayals of Anna and Ben as they overcome obstacles from the past and make decisions about their futures. It can definitely be read as a stand alone but I enjoy the consistent small town setting and townspeople. Sunnydale Farms, the horse training facility is featured beautifully in this story. If you love horses, small towns and light hearted feel-good romances this is for you.

Small towns can be a wonderful place to live as this author shows us in this delightful series. I love second chance romances. The first time around things got in the way along with complicated issues the time just wasn’t right, Ben was just a little to shy to ask Anna out. Things needed to be worked out as time goes by and bring Ben back to town he starts to think maybe just maybe the time is right for the women he loves.When I was a young girl I loved riding horses it is so relaxing, enjoyable, gives you time to work through issues as you race across the fields as well as a feeling of peace, calmness and freedom. For me it was easy to relate to this story of using horse riding with children with physical and emotional special needs to help them get all the feeling above and know they can master something. It is also very helpful for the adults that help them. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the past book and meeting new ones. It was great to see where they are and what is new in their life.Ben has or is losing those he loves it is a very trying time for him. He can be bullhead, stubborn and bratty at times. He has always has issues with his father, and he will have to work through them. Anna has so much patience with him, it was very touching how she reached out to him and bought him around. Life is too short as Ben learns with Anna help she has opened up a whole new world for him as well as his father. I thought this was a good touching read that I enjoyed. I can't wait to see what the next book is about.

Second book in this series that I have read and loved!!! Horses and romance, what could be better! Characters you invest in and a town you want to live in. The romance is sweet, makes you think of your first love. A definite.must read series!

This is the second book in the series and while it's not a much I would recommend reading book one before. This story is about Ben and Anna. Anna is the sister who we meet in book one. Ben is the son of Betty who owns the horse farm that Anna works at. The 2 have been working together on and off for years when Ben as come home between jobs and school. Anna is a self-sufficient women who knows what she wants in life while Ben is always on the go. When tragedy strikes the 2 become close and decisions have to be made but emotions from the part are causing problems. Can the over come then!!! I gave this book a 4 only because I felt that it could have used a bit more emotions from the characters. I am still looking forward to reading more in the series.

Even small town living can have big city problems. Ben is a bit bratty, a lot stubborn and as frustrating as all get out. It's easy not to empathize with his behavior, but I get it. In a short period of time Ben lost his mother, his father is slipping away and as his is breaking on the verge of losing everything he holds dear. Visually, it's easy to see why he's falling apart. Although emotions are a complication, he doesn't deal well with, there are instances where he can almost be empathetic. That's what I adored about Anna, she brought out a side of him that was well hidden but needed to see the light. The Sunnydale Days series is shaping up to be a wonderful introduction to Constance Phillips for me.

All That's Unclaimed is a sweet romance, one that would particularly appeal to young adults and horse lovers. I received a proof copy of this book to review and was surprised at the high standard of grammar and spelling. That being said I felt that the story was very slow moving with numerous paragraphs of text describing cleaning stables and distributing hay. Whilst I love visits to the country, I am always more than happy to return to my home in the city and I was therefore unable to identify with the day to day running of therapeutic horse riding stables. One aspect that Ms Phillips brought out was that if we have unresolved anger from our childhood, it prevents us from moving forward and maturing into the adults we were meant to be. Ben was extremely immature for his age and there were times when I would have liked to shake him and tell him to get over himself. Fortunately he does recognise the need for change and one can only hope that he sticks to his decision. This clean romance can be read by most age groups. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I loved this book as much as I did All That's Unspoken. Anna and Ben's story touched my heart. The dynamics shows that your special someone might be right in front of you if you just open your eyes and heart. Family and forgiveness played a big part in this book. All That's Unclaimed shows that family comes in all sizes and styles, who is to say what is normal, and love is what holds it all together.Continue the story and purchase this book, you will be happy you did.I voluntarily received a copy of this book and chose review it

I love catching up with Anna in this book and learning so much more about the types of therapy they do at Sunnydale Farms. After the first book (which you did not have to read to get where this on was going BUT , I highly recommend it) I wondered if She still got along with Betty. Now it seems there is a son Ben in the picture as well. Hum....We also get to catch up on Nate and Hailey from book one and meet new comers Trevor and Max.... who I hope will have their own book.I love Constance Phillips stories. They always touch my heart and give me something to think about.

3.5 stars. This is the second book in the Sunnydale Days series. I have read multiple books from the author and once again she has written a good book. While this is part of a series, each book can be read as a standalone.The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. The author did a good job of describing the setting of Sunnydale Farm and what they do. The main characters of Ben and Anna. The storyline was average and predictable but it still was a sweet story. I enjoyed this book and I think you will too! I look forward to reading more books in this series.

love how Constance Phillips keeps the Characters alive thru this story! she would bring in the characters from the book of All that's Unclaimed into All that's Unclaimed and even in All that's Unrealized which is what i am now reading. I love how it keeps all the characters alive thru the whole Sunnydale Days series. This story is so sweet and true to life! Constance Phillips writes with heart and longing, a wonderful combination in a sweet, small town romance. I love the way she lets us know the characters, their emotions, their dreams, and their fears, as if the reader is part of the same small town circle of friends.We met Anna Jenkins in the first book of this series, as the sister of one of the main characters. She's worked at Sunnydale Farms since she was a teen in love with horses, and is now a riding instructor in their hippotherapy program while also doing a little bit of everything to keep the farm running. In All That's Unspoken, Anna was blamed for the death of a horse and realized how tenuous her situation could be, placing her dreams for the future at the whims of her employer. She decided she needs to be her own boss and own her own farm and riding program. She just didnt count on Ben Crawford finally coming home.Ben Crawford is the son of Sunnydale Farm's owner and matriarch, and has a serious chip on his shoulder. His father left to follow the rodeo circuit when Ben was young, leaving him and his mother to tend the farm alone and make ends meet. It was his idea to take the farm from merely training and stabling horses to being a certified hippotherapy center, but he feels like he will never have the respect and recognition he craves from his mom...and his father, who's back in town with his new family.Ben is home now with his Masters in therapeutic riding techniques and training, and noticing that Anna has grown up in the time he's been away. He seems younger and more unsure of himself than he should be, given his age and his academic accomplishments, but his story arc into claiming his dream is all the more satisfying.This sweet romance is the second book in the series, but can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone. All three books leave everything but a few kisses firmly behind closed doors, well off the pages, and the ever present horses in this story make it a great fit for horse-obsessed teens as well as older fans of sweet romance. Constance Phillips is a wonderful storyteller, and knows how to write a satisfying happily ever after.

All That's Unclaimed is the story of Ben and Anna. Ben has recently returned to his mother's horse therapy farm, and Anna is the barn manager who has worked at the farm since she was a teenager. When Ben's mom has an accident, it prompts him to overcome his nervousness and ask Anna out.I loved the details about horses and how they are used for therapy with children with both physical and emotional challenges. It added a unique note to this book.I found Anna to be a strong heroine, but I had trouble liking Ben. He's dealing with issues from his childhood, and through most of the book comes off as angry, whiny, and kind of a jerk (although he wasn't intentionally a jerk!). This made the story drag for me, as it took a long time for the people in his life to finally call him on his bulls***. It also made it hard for me to buy into the attraction Anna felt for him. I suppose their referred to history made her see him more fully than I, as the reader, could see him.The last third of the book was the most enjoyable. Ben finally started having to deal with his past and get over his anger and resentment. There were also some secondary characters who had some nice growth.This was a pretty predictable story, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. After all, I do love romances because I know there will be a HEA. :) Overall, though, I felt either this story should have been longer, with a few more twists and turns, or shorter with less time spent in Ben's head while he was having an angry pity party. I give this book 3 cat kisses.

This is book two in the series, and I loved it. I think out of the two so far this is my favorite out of the series. I thought it was well written and the storyline was amazing. I loved the characters. Ben and Anna were amazing together. I felt as if the connection was real and believable. It was very emotional and I think I felt a deeper connection with Anna and Ben. If you haven’t read book one I think you should, but this book is a must read. You won’t be disappointed and you will fall in love with Anna and Ben. Overall I give this book 5 Wonderful stars!

All That's Unclaimed is a sequel to All That's Unspoken. However, as a reader I felt it could be read as a stand alone.Having read All That's Unspoken I was equally impressed with All That's Unclaimed. This time around the book was Anna's and Ben's story. However, it was great seeing Nate and Hailey again in this book. Anna and Ben had been friends for ages before he got the courage to ask out Anna. It was so adorable because he was and being so bashful about it. He had wanted to ask her out so many times but never could get up the courage to do so. It wasn't until his Mom's terrible accident in the horse stable that he realized how short life really is.Ben's Mom invited his father to come to the stables and help out with the horses. However, Ben had to deal with past daemon issues he had with his father. With his father around it was very painful for Ben to be around him. Anna had a good line in the book "All I'm going to say is he's the only Dad you've got." Ben's cute reply was "Mom has always been plenty-enough Dad for me."I rate this All That's Unclaimed 5 out of 5 kisses.

Ben and Anna definitely didn't have a simple romance. Timing was bad... and Ben was a man dealing with some complicated baggage. Like the first book in the series (All That's Unspoken) this story was really about figuring out what was important in life. Deciding exactly what you wanted out of life to be happy... and exactly what your were willing to give up or compromise on.I've never ridden horses, but I do have a degree in Child Development. I really enjoyed learning a little bit about using therapeutic horseback riding with children with physical and emotional special needs. I can imagine it's a really interesting field of study... as well as a rewarding career. So... in edition to loving the romance (and the bit of suspense as to where it would go)... I also really enjoyed all of the back story.I loved that Nate, Hailey, and Lori were all still active characters in this story. I can imagine that they would all still continue to be involved in the future stories. It makes the development of characters and relationships really full.I don't love the cover... but only because the picture in my head of Ben is completely not the guy on the cover.

I was eager to meet the characters in this book, after reading Ms. Phillips book All That's Unspoken. As I started to read, I was instantly drawn to the chemistry between Ben and Anna and then fell in love with the story that followed. In her true fashion, Ms. Phillips made her characters flawed with hurts from the past, hurts you can feel and relate to, and told a story of true growth in Ben, becoming the man he was raised to be and letting go of the hurt from his childhood. She developed a heroine who was strong enough to know that she wanted nothing less than total commitment from the man she loved. The interactions with the characters from the first book in the series, even though the books read as a stand alone story, brings together a picture in your mind of a small town life we would like to have with the love of our life.This book continues a run of phenomenal books from Ms. Phillips. She has become an automatic purchase for me and does not disappoint.
